LUZIA is building the future of immersive art and culture, and Samsung screen technology has often rested at the core of what we do. Samsung's forward looking display technology has a unique role in shaping the future of digital art by acting as a vessel for the most cutting edge interactive and immersive works produced by LUZIA. We believe a partnership would be the perfect way to build the future together. This partnership, driven by a low or no cost rental of Samsung's innovative technologies, would cement Samsung's position as a leader in the future of art and technology, and would allow the team of artists at LUZIA to create limitless experiences on Samsung displays. There is an added benefit for Samsung here as our flagship Ibiza location would act not only as a monument to innovation, but as a show room giving direct access to the kind of clientele in a position to purchase high end display offerings such as THE WALL, and other direct view products.
The infinity room is a tried and true staple in immersive venues, but LUZIA is taking it to the next level with immersive surround sound, and generative art that reacts to audiences, allowing patrons to become co-creators, enhancing their connection to the art, while empowering them to create high impact, sharable moments. At the core of this experience is Samsung's top of the line IVC series LED signage. Designed for the most demanding virtual production settings, the IVC series allows the highest fidelity and maximum brightness, allowing for not only a stunning experience in person, but the ability to seamlessly capture that experience on phones or cameras, free from artifacting caused by lower quality LED products.
Samsung is on the verge of releasing their new transparent OLED offering, and we would love to be among the first to to push the limits of these innovative products in the name of art. While we don't know the exact specifications of the transparent screens we have begun ideating on what could be possible. We propose a dual layered interactive real-time generative artwork, layering a direct view LED display, with one or more transparent OLEDs to create a parallax effect, and give volume to digital art in a physical setting. The artwork would be real time generative, immersing the viewer and reacting to their presence, while enhancing their exploratory instincts with the multiple layers of display responding to their movements.
At LUZIA we pride ourselves in developing multi-modal experiences that correspond to the cutting edge of culture, and our Virtual Worlds meta-installation is a perfect example of this. With video games and metaverses becoming an integral part of the zeitgeist, we present an installation that allows artists to explore meaning-making in these mediums. With three QMR digital signage displays mirroring a racing simulator setup, and a control station featuring two joysticks and a WAD series interactive touchscreen, the Virtual Worlds installation allows the exploration of virtual environments created by artists in Unreal Engine, Touchdesigner, and other such platforms.
The centerpiece of LUZIA is a 50x11 foot multipurpose wall, and supporting computer system kitted out with the very latest technology in the worlds of virtual production, LiDAR and depth cam sensors for interaction, laser intersections, and immersive audiovisual systems. This wall will host a variety of experiences from ultimate virtual production selfie sessions, to live audiovisual performances, XR live-streamed DJ sets, interactive artworks, immersive audiovisual sound baths and post-cinema screenings. Once again the IVC series from Samsung would be unparalleled in this application, allowing for a 9120x2160 resolution screen to be deployed with perfectly vibrant colours, and zero artifacting when filmed.
We have gathered a team of creative experts from all over the world, all at the top of their game and pioneers of new creative technology. Luzia is an ever-evolving space to present these ideas - a new TeamLab for the world.
